I am looking for information on how debt relief grants have to be used - my main question is whether or not they can be used in conjunction with a debt relief program (not one where money is given, but one where terms are adjusted within existing accounts for a payoff, lower monthly payments, etc). That is, does the debt have to be repaid in full to the creditor per the original terms or can the terms still be negotiated or a debt relief program still be participated in with the grant funds being used for those payments?
Thank you!
